Built in January 2006, this 160m Inverted L antenna has an
overall length of approximately 130 feet. Built between two
trees spaced 90 feet
a part, the vertical section is 85 feet and the horizontal component is the
residual 45 feet. There
are two 135 foot raised radials -- each running
approximately 10 feet above ground for their entire length. In addition,
there are four 67 foot ground-based radials and a single ground rod to complete
the ground system.
The following chart shows the comparative SWR readings
observed using four different
data
sources. The overall trend remains more-or-less the same even though the actual readings vary.
